I love this John Denver harp song book--great songs for piano and harp. I have a musical background, but I just started playing a lap harp, string. Although some of the songs require a string harp, I just play the lower notes an octave higher and they sound great, and it keeps my brain alert.
Betty Paret's "First Harp Book" was recommended to me by my harp teacher as a way to build basic skills for myself. (I am an experienced adult pianist-turned-harpist.) Not only are the exercises just what I needed, but the songs are nicely arranged, with much beauty and elegance.
